Chandler Carver joined the Furman athletics department in 2013 as assistant sports information director and was named the department's director of social media in 2014.
Carver oversees social media initiatives involving Paladin athletics to ensure brand unity and consistency across all sports and platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, among others, while also coordinating publicity efforts for Paladin men's and women's lacrosse teams, as well as Furman's highly successful volleyball program.
Prior to coming to Furman, she worked one year with the Southern Conference, serving as sports information contact for volleyball, women's basketball, softball, cross country, and indoor/outdoor track & field. In addition, she coordinated the FCS Coaches Poll and served as media coordinator for the league's 2013 women's basketball tournament.
A Greenville, S.C., native, and graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Carver earned her bachelor's degree in health science from Clemson in 2010 and added a master's degree in human resource development in 2012.
She worked as an undergraduate for three years in the Tigers' sports information office, assisting with a variety of sports. As a graduate assistant, she served as the primary rowing contact while also assisting with volleyball and baseball.
Carver sports extensive experience as a statistician with television and has served as a features and freelance writer for ClemsonTigers.com, Orange: The Experience, and TheClemsonInsider.com. She also works as an official scorer with the Greenville Drive, the South Atlantic League Single A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
She married Davis Simpson in July of 2017.
