As Furman's Head Athletic Trainer, Craig Clark, ATC, SCAT, directly oversees the healthcare delivery services for the 20 intercollegiate athletic teams sponsored by Furman University. He also oversees the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program.
Prior to taking over the helm as the Head Athletic Trainer for Furman University in 2009, Clark served as the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at the Citadel for 7 years. In this role, he provided coverage care for the university’s football and baseball teams, daily injury and sick call for cadets in the Citadel Infirmary, as well as serving as a clinical instructor for the College of Charleston Athletic Training Education Program. Clark has over 10 years of experience in athletic healthcare with additional training as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). His background also includes work with the professional organizations of the Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Titans.
Clark received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999 from East Tennessee State University and completed his Master degree in 2003 from the Citadel.
