Chris Paré, ATC, SCAT, serves as the athletic trainer for the Paladin women's soccer team and oversees the administrative procedures involved in the medical clearance process for the intercollegiate athletic program as well as serving as the Athletic Insurance Coordinator.
Paré, who has almost 20 years of athletic healthcare experience at the high school and collegiate level, served as a clinical athletic trainer for the hospital systems of Greenville, Spartanburg, and Middletown Regional in Ohio before coming to Furman. He has extensive experience in management as well as education, serving as an Athletic Training Manager for the Greenville Hospital System for nine years and earning his certification as a Health Instructor in 1999.
A native of Lebanon, Ohio, Paré completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Education with a Minor in Athletic Training from Morehead State University in 1995. He received his Master of Arts degree in Education/Exercise Science from Furman University in 1998. Paré completed his Athletic Trainer Graduate Assistant residency in 1998 with Furman Sports Medicine.
He and his wife, Julie, a member of the Paladin sports information staff, are parents of a son, Jackson, and a daughter, Hayden.
