Coach Rogers spent five years (2012-2016) as the Head Coach of Young Harris College in Young Harris, GA. Rogers helped create both the men’s and women’s programs while Director of Lacrosse and had a 31-30 overall record as Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Young Harris improved their win total in every season with Rogers at the helm and earned a 10-5 record in his final season, the best in program history.
Prior to Young Harris, Coach Rogers helped found the program at Shorter University in Rome, GA, serving as an assistant coach. While at Shorter, Rogers helped to create the Rome Youth Lacrosse Association serving as program director.
Rogers attended Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC where he was a four-year starting attackman and Academic All-District player. During his senior season, Rogers helped Lees-McRae to their only postseason win in program history. After graduation, Coach Rogers worked as a Local Development Officer for the English Lacrosse Association, playing internationally with the Bath Lacrosse Club while also helping to grow the game of lacrosse at the grassroots level in the United Kingdom.
Rogers has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and History from Lees-McRae College and a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Shorter University. He owns a small business, KR Lacrosse, LLC which specializes in running youth leagues, position-specific training, and private lessons in addition to having held numerous overnight and day camps and clinics.
Prior to Furman, Coach Rogers spent the 2017 spring season as an assistant coach with the AC Flora (Columbia, SC) boy’s lacrosse program. AC Flora won the SC Upper State Championship and reached the SCHSL 4A State Championship, both firsts in program history.
Coach Rogers, a native of Casselberry, FL, recently married the former Robyn Fisher of Columbia, SC.
