Junior Year (2013-14):  Became the first Paladin female to qualify for nationals since the NCAA adopted the current system of holding only two regionals instead of four, beginning in 2010…registered a time of 35:49.66 in the 10,000m at the NCAA Outdoor East Regional, placing 31st…finished eighth with a time of 18:09.44 at the SoCon Cross Country Championships, claiming a spot on the all-conference second team for the second time in her career…recorded top-eight finishes in Furman’s first five cross country meets of the season, placing second at the Blue Ridge Open and third at the Furman Invitational…finished third in the 5,000m with a time of 17:44.33 at the Emory Crossplex Indoor Invitational…earned All-Southern Conference accolades after placing third (35:52.54) in the 10,000m at the SoCon Outdoor Championships…set new Paladin records in the 5,000m and 10,000m during the outdoors…broke her own record by a second with a time of 16:57.99 to win the 5,000m at the Blue Shoes Invitational…set a new record of 34:32.57 in the 10,000m at the UVA Invitational, breaking Jill Braley’s record of 32:25.41, set in 2001, by over 15 seconds...named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Sophomore Year (2012-13):  Became the first Furman athlete to win the Southern Conference’s Most Outstanding Female Track Performer after winning the 5,000m with a time of 17:16.84 and the 10,000m with a career-best time of 35:40.25 at the league outdoor meet…the double victory marked only the fifth time in Furman women’s track and field history that an athlete won two events at the same league outdoor championship meet and the first time since 1996…honored as the league’s runner of the month for April…chosen the SoCon Runner of the Week for October 10 after winning the Gene Mullin Cross Country Invitational with a time of 17:45.4…was the Paladins’ top finisher in Furman’s first five cross country meets…won the Eye Opener Meet with a time of 18:42.2 and the Mountaineer Open in 18:11.5…earned All-SoCon second team honors after placing ninth with a time of 17:55.0 at the league cross country meet…won the 5,000m (17:40.0) at the Emory Crossplex Indoors…placed seventh in both the 5,000m (17:38.0) and the DMR (12:27.1) at the league indoor meet…won the 5,000m with a time of 17:10.37 to open the outdoor season at the High Point VertKlasse meet…finished second in the event (17:03.81) at the Duke Outdoor Invitational…competed in the Blue Shoes Elite Mile at the Blue Shoes Outdoor Meet, taking fourth place with a time of 5:03.18…a member of the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and the SoCon Academic All-Conference Team.

Freshman Year (2011-12):  Named to the SoCon All-Freshman team for XC, indoor, and outdoor track…earned All-Southern Conference accolades after placing 15th with a 5K time of 17:43.70 at the SoCon XC Championships…recorded top-10 finishes at the Eye Opener XC Invite, the Blue Ridge XC Open, and the Gene Mullin Furman XC Invitational…posted a season-best 5K time of 17:39.62 for 15th-place at the Charlotte XC Invitational…placed 67th with a time of 21:53.9 on the 6K course at the NCAA Southeast Regional XC meet…won the 5,000m with a time of 17:12.96 at the Tiger Paw Indoor Invitational…named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team after placing ninth with a time of 17:26.24 in the 5,000m at the league indoor meet…notched a season-best time of 10:05.82 for fourth place in the 3,000m at the ETSU indoor meet…opened the outdoor season by establishing a new Paladin record and winning the 5,000m with a time of 16:58.38 at the 49er Classic…garnered All-Southern Conference honors and earned a spot on the SoCon All-Freshman Team with a second-place time of 36:01.61 in the 10,000m at the league outdoor championships…placed second with a time of 4:44.27 in the 1,500m at the Furman Outdoor Invitational…named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

High School:  Won the state cross country championship as a freshman, junior, and senior…took first place in the 3,200m at the state championship meet two-consecutive years…a member of the 4x800m relay team that set a school record at the state championship meet….honored as the South Carolina AAA Runner of the Year for 2007, 2009, and 2010…chosen the Sports Report High School Player of the Year as a sophomore…selected as a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year…earned 14 All-State citations.

Personal: Sinead Haughey was born on October 15, 1992 in Greenville, S.C.…daughter of Jim and Laurie Haughey…father, Jim, ran track at Clemson from 1979-1983, where he was honored as a four-time All-American…father is a member of the Clemson Hall of Fame…mother, Laurie, ran cross country and track at Clemson from 1981-1985…majoring in communications.
