Furman To Participate In JDL DMR Invitational Saturday

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman track and field team will participate in the JDL DMR Invitational Saturday at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. 

On the women's side, sophomore Carlen Baran will run the 400m, while sophomores Krissy Gear and Emma Kuntz will compete in the 800m.

For the men, senior Chad Word will run the 60m dash and compete in the long jump, and juniors Madison Daniel and Jake Ogden, along with freshman Peter Johnson, will represent the Paladins in the 800m.  Junior Mason Coppi, sophomore Trent Mandato, and Odgen will compete in the 3,000m.

Furman will begin field competition at 10 a.m. with the men's long jump.  Paladin running events will start at 11:30 a.m. with the women's 3,000m.  The final Furman race will be the men's 800m, which is scheduled for 2:45 p.m.
