GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman 2018 baseball season tickets are now on sale, director of athletic ticket sales Dwight Covington has announced.
Season tickets, priced at $50 each and available to order through FurmanPaladins.com, gain fans admission to the Paladins' 30 scheduled home games, including all contests at Latham Stadium on campus and Furman's clashes with Clemson (Mar. 27) and South Carolina (Apr. 24) at Fluor Field in downtown Greenville.
Games against Michigan State (Mar. 9) and Illinois (Mar. 10), which are part of the Greenville Drive First Pitch Invitational at Fluor Field, are not included in the season ticket package.
A 20-game "Value Pack" for $20 is also available and an ideal option for groups wanting to enjoy Paladin baseball. Each voucher, redeemable at the main ticket gate at Latham Stadium, is good for one admission to any Furman game played at Latham Stadium. Vouchers will be mailed or can be picked up at the Timmons Arena Ticket Office (864-294-3099) during normal business hours.
Kids up to 12 years of age can take advantage of membership through the Paladin Knights Kids Club to experience Paladin baseball. For the $50 annual Paladin Knights Kids Club membership, kids can attend any Furman game at Latham Stadium, as well as all 2018 home football games.
Single game tickets for $5 will go on sale on Feb. 7.
Under the direction of head coach Brett Harker, who is entering his second season in charge of the Furman's baseball program, the Paladins return five position regulars off last year's squad that posted a 33-28 record and advanced to the championship game of the Southern Conference Tournament. Key returnees include All-Southern Conference first baseman Brandon Elmy (.341, 11 HR, 49 RBI), right fielder Landon Kay (.332, 11 HR, 37 RBI), third baseman/pitcher Jake Crawford (.309, 2 HR, 32 RBI), designated hitter/outfielder Jabari Richards (.304, 6 HR, 30 RBI), and pitchers Grant Schuermann (7-4, 4.19 ERA) and Heath Hawkins (4-3, 4.07 ERA).
Furman opens its 2018 season on Feb. 16 against Marist at Latham Stadium.
The SoCon Tournament returns to Greenville this year, beginning on May 22 at Fluor Field.
