Spartanburg, S.C. -- Forward Cameron Jackson tallied a career-high 20 points to go with 10 rebounds and Wofford connected on 5-of-7 three-point attempts during a key six-minute stretch in the second half to down Furman, 67-58, on Saturday night at the Benjamin Johnson Arena.

The loss dropped the Paladins to 10-8 overall and 3-2 in Southern Conference play, while Wofford improved to 7-11 overall and 2-3 in the league.

With Furman leading 42-41 and less than 11:30 to play, the Paladins had consecutive chances to extend their lead only to come up empty. Wofford answered as Eric Garcia drained back-to-back triples to ignite a 9-2 run and Ryan Sawvell capped the spurt with a trey of his own to give the Terriers a 50-44 advantage with 8:08 left.

Furman senior Kris Acox trimmed the margin to 50-48 with consecutive slams on assists from Daniel Fowler, but Jackson converted on 1-of-2 shots at the foul line and Fletcher Magee and Jaylen Allen buried back-to-back treys to fashion a 7-0 run that gave Wofford a 57-48 lead with under five minutes remaining.  All told, Wofford made 5-of-7 three-point attempts from the 10:13 mark of the second half to the 4:49 mark in its decisive 16-6 run.

Jackson hit on 8-of-9 shots from the field and 4-of-6 free throw attempts to pace the Terriers, while Garcia chipped in with 16 points and Magee added 12. Wofford shot 45.3% from the field, including 54% in the second half, and managed a 39-31 rebounding edge.

Devin Sibley led Furman with 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting and Acox his 7-of-12 shots to finish with 16 points and eight rebounds. Fowler contributed 13 points and a team-high nine boards.

The Paladins shot 41.7%, but made just 4-of-20 three-point tries and converted on just 4-of-10 trips to the foul line.
