Greenville, S.C. - The Furman men's basketball team will conclude the home portion of its schedule with a 7 p.m. contest against the Wofford Terriers on Monday at Timmons Arena.
The game will mark the final Timmons Arena appearance for Furman's lone senior George Brozos. The 6-foot-6 native of Greece has averaged 15.7 points and six rebounds over the last three games. During the stretch, he has made 15-of-28 field goals and led the Paladins in scoring twice.
Furman, 5-20 overall and 4-12 in the Southern Conference, has won three of its last four game at Timmons, including victories over College of Charleston and UNC Greensboro. The Paladins will be looking to rebound from an 86-51 loss at Davidson over the weekend while Wofford will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
Monday's game is the 121st meeting between Furman and Wofford. The Paladins hold a commanding 80-40 series lead and have won four straight over Wofford at Timmons Arena. The Terriers blasted Furman 75-42 earlier this month in Spartanburg, S.C., to claim their second straight victory against their Upstate rival. The game can be heard on Sirius Satellite radio channel 126.
Following Monday's game, Furman travels to Appalachian State for a 7 p.m. battle at the Holmes Convocation Center on Thursday.
