Charleston, S.C. - Furman will continue its weekend road trip to Charleston when it faces the College of Charleston Cougars in the regular season finale for both teams on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the John Kresse Arena.
The Paladins (7-21, 6-13 SoCon) are coming off of a 73-63 victory at The Citadel on Thursday night behind 17 points from freshman Justin Dehm and a season-high 51% shooting from the field. CofC (13-16, 8-11 SoCon) gained sole possession of third place in the Southern Conference South Division with a 91-86 victory over Georgia Southern in Charleston on Thursday.
Saturday's game, which will be televised live on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS), marks the final game for the Cougars at the F. Mitchell Johnson Center's John Kresse Arena. The new Kresse Arena at the Carolina First Center will serve as CofC's home starting next season.
Furman enters its 70th meeting with Charleston holding a 40-29 series advantage over the Cougars. Furman snapped a six-game losing streak against their cross-state rivals with a 74-66 triumph at Timmons Arena on January 19. The Cougars, however, have claimed all nine meetings with Furman at Kresse Arena.
