Furman's Dozier Claims Second Team All-America Honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman junior offensive tackle Dakota Dozier has been named second team All-America by The Sports Network, it was announced today.

Dozier's All-America selection follows senior Jerodis Williams' first team All-America choice as a return specialist, also by The Sports Network.

A two-time All-Southern Conference pick, including a consensus all-first team choice this season, the 6-foot-5, 291-pound West Columbia, S.C. (Brookland-Cayce HS), product logged 586 plays at left tackle in 2012 but missed two games due to a knee injury.  He graded out a season high 92 percent against Coastal Carolina, 90 percent in a 45-24 win over Western Carolina, and notched a season high 10 knockdowns versus Wofford.

His solid work helped pave the way for Williams, a first team All-SoCon choice who rushed for 1,170 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2012 en route to finishing his career with 3,097 yards, good for fifth in Furman history.
