GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman offensive tackle Dakota Dozier has been named to the Sports Network Preseason All-America squad, it was announced today.

Dozier, a 6-foot-4, 291-pound senior from West Columbia, S.C., was a second team selection and Furman's lone representative among 98 players that comprise three squads.

A second team Sports Network and third team Associated Press All-America choice in 2012, Dozier has been named to three All-Southern Conference teams during his Paladin tenure, earning SoCon All-Freshman Team honors in 2010, second team accolades in 2011, and consensus first team laurels in voting by league head coaches and media last fall.

He has registered playing time in 31 games and posted 30 starts at left tackle over the last three seasons.

Furman, which returns 15 starters from a year ago, kicks off its 2013 season on Aug. 31 at Gardner-Webb.
