Phil Steele Tabs Furman's Dozier To Preseason All-America Squad

Dakota Dozier

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman offensive tackle Dakota Dozier has been named a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) first team preseason All-American by Phil Steele College Preview, it was announced today.

Dozier, a 6-foot-4, 291-pound rising senior from West Columbia, S.C., and Brookland-Cayce High School, was Furman's lone representative on the squad.

He was also rated as the best offensive tackle and No. 4 player overall (all positions) in a list of the Top 100 players in FCS.

A three-year starter, he is a two-time consensus All-SoCon selection and 2012 Sports Network and Associated Press All-America choice.

Dozier will anchor a Furman offensive front that returns all five starters from a year ago.

The Paladins open the 2013 season on Aug. 31 at Gardner-Webb.
