GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman safety Trey Robinson has signed a free agent contract with the New York Giants, it has been announced.
Robinson, a two-time All-Southern Conference performer for the Paladins, inked the contract following a rookie mini-camp tryout last week.
The 6-foot, 215-pound Spartanburg, S.C., product and former standout at Dorman High School, paced Furman with 104 tackles last fall. He finished his Paladin tenure with 264 tackles and six interceptions.
Robinson earned SoCon Defensive Player of the Week and STATS National Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying 10 tackles and two interceptions in Furman's 16-15 win over the University of Central Florida in 2015.
