GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman FanFest presented by Mast General Store and Ingles has been set for Saturday, August 19, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Fluor Field in downtown Greenville, it has been announced.
The event follows Furman's open practice at Sirrine Stadium from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Sirrine Stadium served as Furman's football home from 1936-80 and saw the Paladins' exit the facility in grand style with a 28-15 victory over arch-rival The Citadel for the program's first outright Southern Conference football championship.
FanFest offers fans the opportunity to secure the official 2017 Furman poster and autographs and take pictures with their favorite Paladin players, as well as new head coach Clay Hendrix. Other Furman athletic teams, including women's soccer, volleyball, and men's and women's cross country, will also be on hand along with the Paladin cheerleaders and Dan Scott, the "Voice of the Paladins".
Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to purchase the 2017 official FanFest t-shirt and enter to win exclusive prizes, including lunch with Furman athletics director Mike Buddie, as well as sideline passes to a 2017 Furman football game.
Discounted $8 tickets ($5 tickets for Furman students) are available for the Furman FanFest event, which will include admission to The Greenville Drive-West Virginia Power baseball beginning at 7:05 p.m. and feature first pitch by Clay Hendrix.
Tickets can also be purchased on Aug. 19 at the Drive Ticket Office, located on the corner of Markley and Main Streets.
