GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Ten of Furman's 11 football games in 2017, including all five home contests, will be broadcast, it has been confirmed.

All five Paladin home games will be broadcast via ESPN3, with two contests — Mercer (Oct. 21) and The Citadel (Nov. 11) — also slated to be carried over a new regional network of television stations known as "College Football Down South," operated by Raleigh, N.C.-based 7Communications with distribution including broadcast stations throughout the Carolinas and Virginia, as well as Macon and Atlanta in Georgia.

In addition to Furman's five home games, Paladin Southern Conference road clashes at Wofford (Sept. 2), Chattanooga (Oct. 7), and Western Carolina (Oct. 28) are scheduled for ESPN3, and the regular season finale at Samford (Nov. 18) will be carried by Stadium, a new 24/7 multi-platform sports network with both digital and over-the-air (OTA) broadcast feeds formed through a combination of Campus Insiders, 120 Sports, and American Sports Network.

Furman will also make an appearance on the ACC Network when it faces North Carolina State (Sept. 16).

Broadcast plans for the Paladins' road game at Colgate (Sept. 23) have yet to be announced.

Furman's ESPN3 broadcast team for its five home games this fall includes Bob Mihalic (play-by-play), Sam Wyche (analyst), and Scott Cole (sideline).

The 2017 season will mark Mihalic's second full season of play-by-play duties with the Paladins after joining the team as sideline reporter in 2015.

Wyche, a former head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals and member of Furman's Athletics Hall of Fame, returns to the booth following successful heart replacement surgery last fall.

A Greenville resident, Cole, known nationally for his role on the NFL Network with EA Sports Madden NFL that debuted in 2015, is no stranger to Furman athletics, having served in various broadcasting roles with Paladin men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, and women's lacrosse over the last four years.  The 2017 campaign will mark his first with Paladin football.

Caleb Furrow, Furman's director of athletics video services, will again serve as executive producer of ESPN3 original content.

The Paladins wrapped up day two of preseason practice on Wednesday with a two-hour afternoon session in shorts and helmets.  The squad will add shoulder pads on Thursday in preparation for its first work in full pads on Saturday.

Furman's Mast General Store-Ingles FanFest is set for Saturday, Aug. 19 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Fluor Field in downtown Greenville.
