Furman Selects Jeff Holley Football Public Address Announcer

The launch of the ESPN+ platform will impact viewers' plans to watch Furman sports.

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Jeff Holley has been selected as Furman's new football public address announcer, director of athletics marketing Ben Mathey said today.

"Jeff brings a wealth of public speaking and announcing experience to our operation, and we feel confident he will be a great fit into our game day team, "said Mathey.  "He will play a big role in helping us improve our game day/fan experience."

Holley, a veteran of over 20 years of public speaking experience who was chosen from a field of approximately 50 candidates and two rounds of competition, has served as public address / game announcer for T.L. Hanna High School over last three years and Yellow Jackets basketball since 2015.  He has also handled public address duties for Glenview Middle School and served as announcer for Crescent High School football for four years in the 1990s.

In addition, Holley has served as public address announcer with Tajh Boyd / Marcus Lattimore Football Camps the last three years and emceed the 2016 Anderson County Special Olympics, as well as several black tie social events.

A 1999 Clemson graduate with a degree in business administration, he will make his Furman public address announcing debut on Sept. 9 when the Paladins play host to Elon in a 1:00 p.m. game.
