Furman To Play In The Bank Of Tennessee Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's golf team will compete in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate this weekend at the par 72, 7,147 yard Blackthorn Club at the Ridges in Jonesborough, Tenn.  

The 54-hole tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, with all teams teeing off of hole No. 1.  On Saturday, teams will also tee off of No. 1 beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Teams will tee off of No. 1 and No. 10 on Sunday.

Furman will be joined in the 15-team field by host ETSU, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Kansas State, Kent State, Louisville, Missouri, Penn State, Tennessee, UNC Wilmington, VCU, Villanova, Virginia Tech, and Virginia.

The Paladin lineup includes senior Hunter Nichols, junior Connor Bruns, and sophomores Keller Harper, Matt Lehman, and Scott Purvis.

"While our finish wasn't up to our standards at UNC, there were several positives that we can take as we look to rebound at ETSU," said Furman head coach Todd Satterfield, who is in his 22nd year at the helm of the Paladin program.
