GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman junior Keller Harper (+6) tied for 35th Tuesday in the second day of the NCAA Men's Golf Athens Regional at the par 71, 7,253 yard University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.
Harper, a native of Atlanta, Ga., who was voted the Southern Conference Men's Golf Player of the Year for the second-consecutive season, parred five holes on the front and made the turn at five over after a rough stretch from No. 7 through No. 9. He turned things around on the back nine, parring his first seven holes then adding a birdie on No. 17 to go one-under on the back and card a second-round 75.

In Wednesday's final round, Harper will tee off of No. 1 at 9:31 a.m. and will play in a group with Sam Clayman of Princeton and Charlotte's John Gough.
No. 16 Georgia (-4) holds a slim one-stroke lead over ninth-ranked Duke (-3). Fourth-ranked Vanderbilt (+2) is in third, followed by 22nd-ranked Liberty (+14) in fourth place. Four teams are tied for the fifth spot: No. 33 Tennessee (+17), SMU (+17), Memphis (+17), and Nevada (+17).
