Furman Travels to No. 17 Ohio State Sunday

Greenville, S.C. – Men's lacrosse continues its opening weekend on Sunday, traveling to Columbus, Ohio to face-off against No. 17 Ohio State at 12:00 p.m. in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

Furman dropped its season opener on Thursday, falling 13-12 to Vermont in overtime. Graham Dabbs led the Paladins in points (4), with three goals and an assists, while William Holcomb added three goals of his own. Jon Vandenberg picked up a career-high seven ground balls for the Paladins, while Hil Blaze was 16-28 from the faceoff 'X'.

Ohio State enters the season ranked #17 in the USILA/Nike DI Coaches Preseason Poll. The Buckeyes were picked fourth in the Big Ten preseason poll, while seniors Eric Fannell, Johnny Pearson and Jake Withers were selected as Big Ten preseason honorees.

This is the second meeting between Ohio State and Furman, as the teams faced off on February 6, 2016 in Greenville. Ohio State scored with four seconds remaining in regulation to down the Paladins 8-7.
