Greenville, S.C. -- Head coach Doug Allison and the Furman men's soccer program will host the third annual "Quinn Game" for Down Syndrome Awareness on Tuesday at Stone Soccer Stadium when the Paladins entertain SoCon rival Wofford. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

Furman will partner with the Down Syndrome Family Alliance (DSFA) of Greenville on Tuesday night to promote awareness about down syndrome and to honor one of the program's biggest fans, five-year-old Quinn Cronin, the daughter of former Furman soccer standout McNeil Cronin ('04).

"This is a very important cause that we would like everyone to come and support," said Allison, who is in his 23rd year at the helm of Furman's program. "Through the combined efforts of the men's soccer team here at Furman and Coach Ralph Polson's team at Wofford, we want to make this a special day for a special little girl!"

Furman enters Tuesday's match at 7-3-2 overall and 1-1-2 in SoCon play following a 0-0 draw at ETSU on Friday night. The Paladins have posted back-to-back shutouts against SoCon favorites Mercer and ETSU, but Furman has been held without a goal in its last three outings.

Tuesday's contest marks the 50th meeting between Furman and Wofford with the Paladins holding a 39-13-1 series lead. Wofford claimed both meetings last season, including a 2-1 decision in Spartanburg, S.C., in the last encounter.

The Terriers come to Greenville at 2-10-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the SoCon, but Wofford has won its last two matches.

Tickets for Tuesday's showdown with Wofford are available online at or can be purchased at the Stone Stadium entrance beginning one hour prior to kickoff. The match will be streamed live through the SoCon Digital Network and live statistics will be available through StatBroadcast. Links for both the video stream and live stats are posted at
