Ivan Mitric Career Records

Freshman Year (2017-18):  Mitric was honored as the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year and named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team after recording a 15-8 overall singles record and 5-2 league mark, playing primarily at flight three.  He won five out of seven matches to open the season with non-conference wins over Florida Atlantic, North Florida, College of Charleston, and UNC Asheville.  Mitric scored victories in seven of nine matches beginning March 6 versus Valparaiso, including a 6-2, 6-2 win over Clemson at flight three.  In the opening round of the SoCon Championships, he beat Wofford, 6-2, 6-0, also at flight three.  In doubles action, Mitric was 13-11 overall and 4-3 against league foes.  He teamed with Drew Singerman to win six out of seven matches beginning Feb. 17 at The Citadel.  After concluding the season with a 7-6 advantage at Mercer, Mitric and Singerman defeated Wofford, 6-2, in the opening round of the SoCon Championships.  Mitric was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll. 

Prep/Personal:  Ivan Mitric, who has ranked as high as fourth in Ontario and eighth in Canada, recorded a 19-match winning streak during U16 and U18 Ontario Provincials and National Selections.  The ITF Canadian World Ranking Event doubles champion, he was a two-time ITF Canadian World Ranking Event singles and doubles runner up.  Mitric played main draw ATP Future matches and was the Ontario Provincial singles champion.  A four-time Ontario Provincial doubles champion, he also was a five-time Ontario National Selection champion and placed as high as third at the Canadian Junior Nationals.  Mitric speaks three languages:  English, French, and Serbian.  Ivan Mitric was born on May 1, 1999, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  He is the son of Zeljko and Jasmina Mitric.  His younger brother, Alex, is a nationally ranked tennis player.  He plans to study pre-medicine.
