Furman Women’s Lacrosse Welcomes Nine Newcomers

Furman Women’s Lacrosse Welcomes Nine Newcomers

Greenville, S.C. – Furman women's lacrosse has welcomed nine newcomers to campus this fall, it has been announced by head coach Rachel Whitten. The nine players include eight freshmen and a transfer and join a Furman team currently in fall practice.

The nine newcomers look to fill voids left by Furman's second graduating class in program history, which included 11 players that helped the Paladins' program build from the ground up. The women's lacrosse team is in just its fifth full season as a Division I program at Furman.

The nine hail from six different states, including three from Georgia and two from Maryland. Six will play midfield or attack, while three will play on the defensive side of the field.
