Greenville, S.C. -- Furman women's lacrosse hits the road this weekend, traveling to Davidson, N.C., for the first road test of the 2019 season. The Paladins and Wildcats are set for a 2:00 p.m. opening draw.
Furman is coming of a 21-12 loss at the hands of Big South favorite High Point on Saturday. Furman was led by Grace Pollak and Abby Shields with three goals each, while Pollak added three assists and Shields added two. Courtney Baker recorded six saves on the day, while causing three turnovers.
Davidson is coming off a 12-4 win over Davidson in the season opener. Junior Delaney Guhman was named the league's defensive player of the week after earning her first collegiate victory by allowing just four goals, only one of them coming in the second half, while picking up six saves for a .600 save percentage.
