Greenville, S.C. -- Furman women's lacrosse (1-3) hits the road this weekend, traveling to Baltimore, Md., for a 1:00 p.m. matchup with #16 Johns Hopkins (3-1).
Furman is coming of a 1-1 week, downing Presbyterian 19-5 last Wednesday, before falling 18-5 to Vanderbilt on Sunday. Abby Shields leads the Paladins with nine goals and four assists on the year, while Grace Pollak has added eight goals and six assists. Sophie Brennan has won a team-high 12 draws, while Courtney Baker has totaled 29 saves.
Johns Hopkins is coming off a 12-11 win over #18 Georgetown on Wednesday night. Senior Miranda Ibello scored with 8.3 seconds remaining to give the Blue Jays the hard-fought victory. Ellie McNulty leads Johns Hopkins with 12 goals and an assist on the season, while Maggie Schneidereith has tallied nine goals and seven assists for a team-high 16 points. Haley Crosson has played 242:01 in goal for the Blue Jays, making 28 saves.
