Women’s Lacrosse Plays Host to Butler on Friday

 

Greenville, S.C. – Furman women's lacrosse is back in action on Friday, March 15, playing host to Butler inside Paladin Stadium. The game is set for a 3:00 p.m. opening draw and can be seen live on ESPN+. 

Furman is coming off a 1-1 week, including a win over Campbell and a loss to Liberty. Grace Pollak was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week after totaling 11 goals in the two games, including a career-high six goals against Campbell on Wednesday. The junior from Ellicott City, Md., currently leads the team with 19 goals and six assists for 25 points, while Sophie Brennan is second on the team with 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists).

Butler is coming off a 17-10 win at Wofford on Wednesday. Ashley Guerra matched her career-high with five goals and set a new career-high with five assists. Ashley Steffes notched her first career hat trick, while Haley Hallenbeck, Lindsey Schreiber, and Madeline Hooks each tallied two goals. Amanda Rumsey received the win in goal and is now 3-4 on the season.
