Women’s Lacrosse Travels to Wofford for Regular Season Finale

 

Greenville, S.C. – Furman women's lacrosse hits the road this weekend, traveling to nearby Spartanburg, S.C., to match up against Wofford in the 2019 regular-season finale for the Paladins. Opening draw is set for 12:00 p.m. 

Furman (9-7, 3-1 SoCon) is coming off a 2-0 week last week, including a 1-0 SoCon week, downing Delaware State and Howard over the weekend. Sunday's game against Howard marked Furman's largest victory in school history, while Abby Shields became Furman's all-time leading goal scorer in the matchup against Delaware State. Grace Pollak currently leads the Paladins with 40 goals on the year, while Shields sits second with 31.

Wofford (4-12, 1-3 SoCon) is coming off the first home SoCon victory in program history on Saturday, downing Delaware State 19-6. The Terriers are led by Hannah Mutch with 27 goals on the year, while Ally Furnari has 24. Kelsey Thompson has played all the minutes in goal for the Terriers, making 148 saves.
