    Furman’s Monica Arguello has been chosen the 2011 Southern Conference Female Athlete of the Year, as announced today by the league office, while College of Charleston’s Andrew Goudelock has been named the Bob Waters Male Athlete of the Year. Arguello and Goudelock will be honored as part of the league’s annual Honors Dinner Wednesday night in Charleston, S.C.

Postseason balloting was done by the league’s head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own team members.
