    Furman’s Ansley Speaks, Alex Moreno-Kaste, and Harper Caswell earned All-Southern Conference accolades, while Caswell was also named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team, as announced today by the league office. Postseason balloting was conducted by the league’s head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own student-athletes.

Speaks won all three of her singles matches last week at the top flighted position. Furman fell to North Florida (5-2) and UCF (4-3) before topping South Florida (4-3) last week.

The match, which was originally scheduled for 10 a.m. but delayed due to forecasted cold temperatures, marks the 36th meeting between the two schools. The Gamecocks recorded a 7-0 win over the Paladins last season in Columbia to take a 6-29 series lead.
