    Furman women’s tennis head coach Adam Herendeen announced today the addition of Madison Dillon of Hilton Head, S.C., and Maggie Pate of Lithia, Fla.  Dillon will join the team in January of 2019, while Pate will be added to the Paladin roster in the fall of 2019.

    The Furman women’s tennis team is set to compete at the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Championships at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C.  The tournament showcases the top women’s tennis players from the states of North Carolina and South Carolina.  Play will begin on Thursday with qualifying and B flight singles and main draw doubles and continues through Monday.

    Furman junior Katarina Kozarov downed Denver’s Bianca Mok, who is ranked 109th, 7-5, 6-4, Sunday in the consolation singles championship match at the Oracle ITA Masters in Malibu, Calif., while the rest of the Paladin team completed play at the 32nd Annual Debbie Southern Fall Classic, which was held this weekend at the Mickel Tennis Center on the campus of Furman University in Greenville, S.C.

    For the second time in three years, the Paladin women’s tennis team had at least four doubles players go undefeated versus outside competition, and for the first time, Furman competitors won both the singles final and the singles consolation at the Furman ITA Summer Circuit.
  • Furman Honored With ITA All-Academic Team Award; Five Paladins Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

    The Furman women’s tennis team, which led all Paladin teams with a 3.53 GPA this year, was honored as an ITA All-Academic Team, and five Paladins were named 2018 ITA Scholar-Athletes, as announced today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
