Paladins Compete At Raleigh Relays & Terrier Relays

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman outdoor track and field team competed at both the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C., and the Terrier Relays in Spartanburg, S.C., on Saturday, with seven individuals recording top-25 finishes.

In Raleigh, sophomore Emma Kuntz finished sixth in the 800m with a time of 2:08.47, and junior Reagan Chewning was 21st in the javelin with a mark of 37.02 (121-5).

At the Terrier Relays, junior Luke Meade paced the Paladins with a second place finish in the 1,500m after turning in a time of 3:54.02.  Junior Madison Daniel was ninth with a time of 1:57.43 in the 800m, and senior Chad Word recorded a mark of 6.51 (21-4.25) for seventh place in the long jump.

On the women's side, sophomore Reilly Caldwell finished 11th with a time of 4:55.42 in the 1,500m, and sophomore Carlen Baran posted a time of 1:02.63 in the 400m, taking 23rd place.

Furman will compete at the Tennessee Relays in Knoxville, Tenn., April 11-13.
