GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's baseball team will play host to 12th-ranked Clemson on Tuesday at Fluor Field, with first pitch set for 6:00 p.m.

The game is part of the College Baseball Series at Fluor Field.  Tickets are available through GreenvilleDrive, com and the Greenville Drive Box Office.

The contest will be audio live streamed through Stretch Audio, with the "Voice of the Paladins" Dan Scott on the call.  In addition, it will be video live streamed via the SoCon Digital Network, and fans can also follow the action via StatBrodcast live stats, with links to all three available through FurmanPaladins.com

Furman (13-11) enters Tuesday's game having dropped four straight, including a three-game series at 22nd-ranked Wichita State over the weekend. Clemson (18-6) took two of three from ACC foe Louisville over the weekend.

The Paladins have played a challenging schedule, with nine of their 24 games thus far coming against teams currently ranked in D1Baseball.com's Top 35 RPI and seven versus teams in the Top 15, including Clemson (7), N.C. State (14), and Wichita State (6). Clemson downed Furman, 12-4, in Clemson on Feb. 20.

Furman is 1-1 in games played at Fluor Field this year, including a 3-2 win over Michigan State on Mar. 9 and a 14-5 loss to Illinois on Mar. 10.

Sophomore right-hander Trent Alley (2-1, 6.97 ERA) is scheduled to get the start for Furman against Clemson.  He worked 2 2/3 innings in the start versus the Tigers in the season's first meeting, allowing a run on three hits while striking out three and issuing one walk.

Furman had its bats quieted against Wichita State, managing just five runs in the series.  The Paladins are hitting .269 as a team and have been out-homered 35-16 this season.

The Paladins open Southern Conference play on Thursday with a three-game home series against Samford, beginning with a 6:00 p.m. contest at Latham Stadium.  The Paladins and Bulldogs play Friday at 4:00 and will conclude the series with a 1:00 p.m. Saturday clash in advance of Easter.
