Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's basketball team begins its final road trip of the 2012-13 season on Wednesday when it travels to Belk Arena to face the Davidson Wildcats at 7 p.m.

Furman suffered its sixth straight loss, a 64-53 decision against Samford, on Saturday afternoon at Timmons Arena to fall to 6-19 overall and 3-11 in Southern Conference play.  Senior Colin Reddick tallied 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists while recording two blocked shots to move into fifth place on Furman's career blocks ledger with 98 rejections, but Samford held Furman to just 31.8% shooting in the second half to pull away.

Clide Geffrard Jr. paced the Bulldogs with 19 points and Raijon Kelly added 17 points.  Forward Tim Williams notched a double-double for Samford with 13 points and 13 rebounds.  Furman's Bryant Irwin reached double figures with 13 points and freshman Kendrec Ferrara added 10 points, seven boards and a career-best four blocked shots.

On Wednesday, the Paladins will be facing a Davidson squad that improved to 19-7 overall and 14-1 in SoCon play with a victory at The Citadel on Saturday.  The win, Davidson's 10th straight, secured at least a share of first place in the SoCon South Division for the Wildcats and a bye in the opening round of the SoCon Tournament.  Forward Jake Cohen continues to lead Davidson averaging 14.6 points per game.

Wednesday's game marks the 161st meeting between the Paladins and Wildcats with Davidson holding a commanding 98-62 series advantage.  The Wildcats, who claimed an 81-73 triumph over the Paladins at Timmons Arena on January 12, have won four straight meetings against Furman and 30 of the last 32 in the series.  Furman is winless in Belk Arena and has lost 17 straight games in Davidson, N.C., with the last Paladin victory coming during the 1989-90 season.

The game will be aired live on 103.3 WOLT-FM and 96.3 WGOG-FM with Dan Scott providing play-by-play and Chuck Hussion handling color commentator duties.
