GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's tennis team will put its eighth-match winning streak on the line Wednesday when the Paladins travel to Spartanburg to take on Wofford.  First serve is set for 3 p.m. at the Reeves Tennis Center.

The match marks the 42nd meeting between the two schools.  The Paladins, who lead the series 39-2, defeated the Terriers, 5-2, in Greenville during the 2018 regular season then scored a 4-0 victory over Wofford in the opening round of last year's Southern Conference Championships.

Furman holds an 9-3 overall record and 2-0 SoCon mark after downing UNC Greensboro, 6-1, on Saturday.  Paladin sophomore Ivan Mitric is ranked 87th nationally according to the latest 2019 Oracle/ITA Division I men's singles poll, which was released last week by the organization.

Sophomore Drew Singerman is an undefeated 10-0 in singles action, while junior Jake Bhangdia is 10-2 overall and 9-1 at flight four.  Four Paladin doubles teams are undefeated:  Mitric & Munns (7-0); Bhangdia & Wilson (7-0); Atlevi & Singerman (6-0); and Roelofse & Steryous (1-0).

Wofford enters the match at 5-9 overall and 2-1 in the SoCon.  The Terriers hold SoCon wins over Samford (4-0) and Mercer (4-3).
