  • Furman Falls in Overtime in SoCon Championship Game

    Greenville, S.C. – SoCon Freshman of the Year Hailey Rhatigan scored with 1:40 to go in overtime to give Mercer the 15-14 SoCon Championship victory. In a heartbreaker for the Paladins, Furman’s season ended at 11-8.

    Greenville, S.C. – Furman senior Abby Shields has been named the SoCon Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Month for April, it was announced today by the conference. The voting is conducted within the league office. 
  • First Half Propels Paladins Into SoCon Championship Game

    Greenville, S.C. – Behind a first-half hat trick from Kyra LaMotte, Furman women’s lacrosse held on to a 6-2 halftime lead and downed Detroit Mercy, 12-8, on Thursday night inside Paladin Stadium in the second of two SoCon semifinal games. The win moves Furman to 11-7 on the year and puts the Paladins in a Saturday SoCon Championship rematch with Mercer. 
  • Women’s Lacrosse Set to Host 2019 Southern Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship

    Greenville, S.C. – Furman women’s lacrosse returns to action on Thursday night, playing host to the 2019 Southern Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship inside Paladin Stadium. The Paladins, the No. 3 seed, are set to take on No. 2 seed Detroit Mercy in the second of two games on Thursday. No. 1 seed Mercer takes on No. 4 seed Central Michigan at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Paladins and Titans approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one. 
  • Templeton & Buchalski Honored As Furman Athletes Of the Year

    Furman cross country/track and field All-Americans Aaron Templeton and Allie Buchalski were recognized as 2018-19 Furman Male Athlete of the Year and Edna Hartness Female Athlete of the Year, respectively, at Furman’s “ESPY” style awards banquet Tuesday evening at Timmons Arena.

    Greenville, S.C. – Furman's Abby Shields has been named the SoCon Offensive Player of the Week for the second-consecutive week, it was announced today based on voting completed by the league office. The nod is Shields' second of her senior season and the sixth of her career. 
  • Paladins Down Wofford, Earn Share of SoCon Regular Season Title

    Spartanburg, S.C. – Behind seven points each from Hannah Demis and Abby Shields, Furman women’s lacrosse downed Wofford, 18-5, on Saturday afternoon in the 2019 regular season finale. The win ends Furman’s regular season at 10-7, 4-1 SoCon, and gives the Paladins a share of the 2019 Southern Conference regular season championship. 
  • Women’s Lacrosse Travels to Wofford for Regular Season Finale

    Greenville, S.C. – Furman women’s lacrosse hits the road this weekend, traveling to nearby Spartanburg, S.C., to match up against Wofford in the 2019 regular-season finale for the Paladins. Opening draw is set for 12:00 p.m.

    Greenville, S.C. – Behind a 14-1 first half, Furman downed Delaware State, 19-1, on Thursday evening inside Paladin Stadium. The win moves Furman to 8-7 on the year, 3-1 in SoCon play, while the loss drops the Hornets to 1-9, 0-3 in SoCon play.

    Greenville, S.C. – Furman women’s lacrosse returns to Paladin Stadium this week, welcoming Delaware State and Howard for a Thursday/Saturday senior weekend matchup. The Paladins and Hornets will face off on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. in a SoCon contest, before the Bison come to Paladin Stadium for an 11:00 a.m. nonconference Senior Day contest. Both matches are set to be streamed on ESPN+.

  • Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Detroit Mercy on Friday

    Detroit, Mich. – Five points each from Kamryn Corraro (five goals) and Kaitlyn Wandelt (three goals, two assists) Detroit Mercy held off a late Paladin rally and downed Furman, 14-12, on Friday afternoon in Detroit, Mich. The win moves the Titans to 6-7, 2-1 SoCon on the year, while the loss drops the Paladins to 6-7, 1-1 SoCon.

The selection was Baker’s second of her career and the Paladins’ second Player of the Week honoree of 2019.

    Greenville, S.C. – Behind five points from Sophie Brennan (three goals, two assists) and four assists from Abby Shields, Furman downed Mercer, 15-13, on Sunday afternoon. The win moves the Paladins to 6-6 on the year, 1-0 in SoCon play, while the loss drops the Bears to 6-7, 3-1 in SoCon play.

  • Women’s Lacrosse Plays Host to Kennesaw State, Mercer This Weekend

    Greenville, S.C. – Furman women’s lacrosse returns to Greenville this weekend, welcoming Kennesaw State to Paladin Stadium for a 6:00 p.m. Friday contest before taking on Mercer on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. in the Paladins’ 2019 SoCon opener. Both games are set to be streamed on ESPN+. Friday’s game features free pizza for fans, as well as a koozie giveaway, while Sunday’s contest is Fan Appreciation Day, with chances to win a Roku and Amazon Fire.
