Greenville, S.C. – Courtney Baker has been named the SoCon Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, for games April 5-7, it was announced on Tuesday. Voting was conducted by the league office. The selection was Baker's second of her career and the Paladins' second Player of the Week honoree of 2019.
Baker, a goalkeeper from Queenstown, Maryland, helped lead the Paladins to a perfect 2-0 week, defeating Kennesaw State on Friday and conference opponent Mercer on Sunday. Playing all 60 minutes of both games, she faced 60 shots, saving 24 and recording a .571 save percentage. The senior currently leads the conference in saves per game (13.00).
Detroit Mercy's Lexie Kinmond was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week.
The Titans and Paladins will face off this Friday in Detroit, Michigan, before the Paladins will travel to Central Michigan to take on the Chippewas.
