Greenville, S.C. – Inclement weather has forced changes to this weekend's Furman softball series at No. 18 Arkansas, it was announced this afternoon.
The Paladins and Razorbacks will now play a single game on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET at Bogle Park in Fayetteville, Ark., before concluding the series with an 11 a.m. ET doubleheader on Sunday. All three games will be streamed live on the SEC Network+ with live statistics available through StatBroadcast. Links for both can be found at FurmanPaladins.com.
Furman enters the weekend series at 10-26 on the season after dropping a 9-7 decision at No. 16 South Carolina on Wednesday night. Sophomore Cammy Pereira, who ranks third in the Southern Conference with a .361 batting average, went 3-for-5 at the plate and scored two runs to pace the Paladin offense on Wednesday, while senior Taylor Vahle and junior Tess Griswold each collected two hits and drove in two runs.
Arkansas bounced back from a sweep at Florida last weekend by downing Wichita State 9-1, 4-3 in a midweek doubleheader. The Razorbacks are 28-14 on the season.
This weekend's series will mark the first meetings between Furman and Arkansas.
