WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Senior Monica Arguello won the A1 Singles Bracket with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Christina Lee of UNC Wilmington to lead the Furman women's tennis team Sunday in the final day of the Landfall Invitational in Wilmington, N.C. Paladin freshman Amanda Murray defeated Emily Lauten of Virginia Tech, 6-3, 6-1, to win the A2 Singles championship match.
Paladin sophomore Jenny Porter defeated UNC Wilmington's Casey Dashiell 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 in a consolation match in B1 Singles.
Furman will play host to the Furman Fall Classic Sept. 24-26.
