Paladins Compete In First Day Of Kitty Harrison Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The Furman women's tennis team competed in the first day of the Kitty Harrison Invitational on Friday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.

In doubles action, Furman's duo of sophomore Amanda Murray and freshman Kelsey Kinderknecht teamed up for an 8-4 win over UNC Greensboro's Devon Sutherland and Stephanie Falcon.  

The Paladins faced Minnesota in singles, with junior Lauren Kline defeating Alexa Palen, 2-6, 6-2, 1-0(3) at number one singles, while junior Michele Stanford picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Aria Lambert in flight four singles.  

The tournament will continue on Saturday.
