Furman Women's Tennis Competes At Duke Bonk Invite

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman women's tennis team competed at the Duke Bonk Invite in Cary, N.C. this weekend. 

Paladin freshman Katarina Weymouth defeated Amanda Rebol of N.C. State, 6-3, 6-2, in the blue singles draw, while junior Ansley Speaks downed Florida's Spender Liang, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 and won over Maggie Kane of North Carolina, 6-1, 6-1 in the royal singles draw.

The duo teamed up to beat Cassie Mercer and Maci Epstein of Virginia, 8-1, in the round robin doubles competition.

The Paladins play host to Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Iowa, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt at the Furman Fall Classic Sept. 25-27 in Greenville, S.C.
