Matt Solomon is a senior linebacker from Tyrone, Georgia.  He is a business administration major.

What is your most memorable on field moment?

My most memorable moment was last season when I tackled Jeff Demps at Florida in the open field.
 

What do you love most about football?

Definitely the comraderie you build with all of your teammates.

What is your favorite thing to do in Greenville?

I enjoy gathering with my local church family every Sunday morning.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Party Time!!!

What other Furman sport do you enjoy watching?

I like watching women's volleyball.  The game requires so much athleticism, and I really enjoy watching it.  Also, I am friends with some of the players.

If you could play another position, what would it be?

I'd like to play quarterback.  As a linebacker, I am like the commander of the defense.  I'd like to see the game from the other side of the ball and command the offense.

How do you prepare for a game?

I listen to the Fernando Ortega Pandora station and read Pilgrim's Progress before the game.  It calms me. 

What are your goals this season?

I would like to play mistake free football every single game.  As a team, we would like to make the playoffs.

What are your plans after college?

I am currently exploring career possibilities.  I am open to whatever the Lord has planned for me.
