GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman is ranked 13th in this week's AFCA FCS Coaches Poll, which was released today.

A 28-7 road winner over Western Carolina and victorious in four of its last five games, Furman (5-3, 4-1 SoCon) polled 321 points for 13th place, trailing No. 12 Princeton (349) while finishing just ahead of No. 14 Dartmouth (321).

The Paladins were joined in this week's Top 25 by SoCon member Wofford, which used a 35-34 overtime win over Chattanooga to climb back in the poll at No. 20.

Reigning national champion North Dakota State remained No. 1 in the poll followed by James Madison, Weber State, Kennesaw State, and South Dakota State, who round out the top five.

Furman, which is tied for first place in the SoCon, returns to action this Saturday when it travels to Chattanooga, Tenn., to take on the Mocs in a 2:00 p.m. ESPN+ broadcast contest at Finley Stadium.
