MELBOURNE, FLA. -- Furman senior Natalie Srinivasan (-10) fired a final-round 67 to win individual medalist honors Tuesday at the Moon Golf Invitational at the par 72, 6,262 yard Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Fla.

A native of Spartanburg, S.C., Srinivasan carded seven birdies in round two, which was completed on Tuesday morning, then added six birdies in the tournament's final round to conclude the tournament in first place at 10-under, four strokes ahead of teammate Anna Morgan (-6), a freshman from Spartanburg, S.C., who finished as runner-up after scoring a 74 with a birdie on No. 9 in the final round.

"I am so excited and humbled to be able to get my third win this season at the Moon Golf Invitational," said Srinivasan at the completion of the tournament.  "This was a great event with a really good field.  It was awesome to have individuals finish in first and second place, and I can't think of a better way to start my last semester at Furman."

Sophomore Kyra Cox (+12) added a 77 with a birdie on No. 11 in the final round to tie for 63rd, while junior Carly Burkhardt (+13) fired a 71 with three consecutive birdies on No. 13 through No. 15 in Tuesday's round to tie for 68th.  Senior Marra Burton (+25) finished in 85th place after scoring a 76 with a birdie on No. 1 on Tuesday.

Junior Caitlin Cotterill, who played as an individual, carded a 78 with a birdie on No. 6 Tuesday, tying for 48th.

No. 12 Ole Miss (-6) won the tournament by three strokes over 50th-ranked Augusta (-3).  No. 38 Louisville (E) finished third, and No. 34 North Carolina (+3) and ninth-ranked Alabama (+3) tied for fourth place.  The 31st ranked Paladins (+6) finished in sixth place.

"This was a very solid start to the spring," said Furman head coach Jeff Hull.  "There were so many positives at this tournament, from Natalie establishing herself as one of the best players in the country with a solid win, to Anna finishing a career-best second place with a great 36 hole day yesterday.  We had some great bounce back performances, as well.  I am looking forward to getting back to work and preparing for the Darius Rucker in a couple of weeks."

Furman will compete at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate March 6-8 in Hilton Head, S.C.
