JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. -- Junior Walker Crosby (-8) is tied for second to lead Furman after Monday's second round of the 23rd annual Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at the par 72, 7,147 yard Blackthorne Club at the Ridges in Jonesborough, Tenn.

A native of Memphis, Tenn., Crosby played virtually flawless golf on Monday, posting five birdies, including birdies on three of four holes from No. 12 through No. 15, with just one bogey on No. 17.  He finished the round with a 4-under for the second-consecutive day and sits in a three-way tie two strokes back of leader Remi Chartier (-10) of East Tennessee State, who has a two-round total of 68-66=134.

Senior Jack Crosby (-6) is in eighth place after recording a team-high seven birdies in his first 10 holes, inducing four-straight birdies from No. 4 through No. 7 and a total of six birdies on Monday's front nine.  He paced the Paladins with a 5-under 67 in round two. 

Junior Ross Funderburke (+3) carded a 75 with three birdies in round two to tie for 63rd, while sophomore Mac Scott (+6) and freshman Will Morlan (+6) are tied for 76th after two rounds of play.  Scott shot a 75 with a birdie on No. 18 on Monday, while Morlan added a 77 with two birdies.  Senior Owen Burden (+8), who is playing as an individual, scored a 75 with a birdie on No. 5 to finish the round in 91st place. 

Host East Tennessee State (-24) holds a two-stroke lead over Louisville (-22) entering the final round.  Charlotte (-18) is in third, followed by College of Charleston (-12) in fourth place.  Maryland (-11) rounds out the top five.  Furman (-7) is in 11th place, ahead of SoCon foe Chattanooga (-4) and Power 5 opponent Villanova (-22), among others.

The Paladins will tee off of No. 10 beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the final round of the 54-hole tournament and will play in a group with Chattanooga and UAB.  Admission is free and fans are welcome.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via http://www.FurmanPaladins.com and http://www.golfstat.com.
