AUGUSTA, GA. -- Anna Morgan (-3) is tied for 14th to lead the Furman women's golf team after Saturday's two rounds of the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational presented by Valspar at the par 72, 6,249 yard Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

A native of Spartanburg, S.C., Morgan was even with four birdies in the day's opening round then fired a 69 with a team-high six birdies in round two.  She birdied five holes on the back nine, including four out of five holes from No. 11 through No. 15 and three-straight from No. 13 through No. 15.  

Senior Madison Moosa (-2) is one stroke back of Morgan, tied for 18th place.  She carded a 1-under 71 with three birdies in each round on Saturday.  Senior Carly Burkhardt (+5) opened the tournament with a 74 with four birdies, including back to back birdies on No. 15 and No. 16 then scored a73 with three birdies in the day's second round to tie for 59th.

Junior Sarah-Eve Rhéaume(+8) and freshman Sophia Burnett (+8) are tied for 73rd after two rounds.  Rhéaume scored a 74 with two birdies in the first round and added a 78 in round two, while Burnett also recorded a 74 with two birdies in round one then carded a 78 with a birdie on No. 6 in the day's final round.

Senior Caitlin Cotterill (+12), who is playing as an individual, is tied for 83rd.  She tallied a 78 with a birdie on No. 2 in the morning round then added a 78 with three birdies on the back nine in the afternoon. 

Second-ranked Duke (-25) leads the tournament by one stroke over third-ranked South Carolina (-24).  No. 5 Florida State (-21) is in third, followed by top-ranked Wake Forest (-1) in fourth.  The Paladins (+6) are in ninth place, two strokes ahead of No. 17 Kent State (+8).

Seventh-ranked Pauline Roussin-Bouchard of South Carolina (-10) leads the field after posting rounds of 65 and 69 on day one.

The 54-hole tournament concludes on Sunday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.  Furman will tee off on No. 10 through No. 13 and will play in a group with Kent State, Augusta, and Coastal Carolina.  Live tournament scoring will be available via http://www.golfstat.com.
