GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman Football's April 17 home football game versus Southern Conference rival Wofford has been canceled after the Terriers announced today their decision to opt out of the remainder of the 2021 spring season.
Wofford's decision is based upon a combination of player COVID opt-outs and injuries that have left the team below the Southern Conference guidelines for specific position groups.
The game's cancellation leaves Furman's Saturday 1:00 p.m. game at The Citadel as the only remaining contest on the Paladins' schedule.
