SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. -- Furman's Anna Morgan (+3) is tied for 19th at the end of Tuesday's second round the NCAA Louisville Regional at the par 72, 6,289 yard University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Ky.
Morgan, a sophomore from Spartanburg, S.C., recorded birdies on No. 15 and No. 17, finishing the day with a 75. She is eight strokes back of leader Christin Eisenbeiss (-6) of Florida State, who leads the field by one stroke going into Wednesday's final round. Â
Senior Madison Moosa (+6) shot even par on Tuesday, carding three birdies in her first six holes, to move into a tie for 42nd, and junior Sarah-Eve Rhéaume (+10) recorded a 75 with birdies on No. 9 and No. 13 to finish the second round in a tie for 78th.Â
The Paladin players are part of a field of 18-teams and three additional individuals who are battling for a berth in the 24-team NCAA Championship, which will be held May 21-26 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. The top six teams and three individuals on non-qualifying teams will advance following tomorrow's final round.
For the second day in a row, No. 8 Florida State (+1) leads the team competition by five strokes. No. 17 Arkansas (+5) and top-ranked South Carolina (+5) are tied for second, followed by host Louisville (+6) in fourth place.Â
Morgan and Moosa will tee off of No. 1 at 8:50 a.m. in Wednesday's final round, while Rhéaume will begin on No. 10, also at 8:50 a.m.
