Harper, Lambert Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars

Greenville, S.C. – Furman senior Keller Harper and sophomore Reynolds Lambert were announced as Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, it was recently announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 40-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and in good standing at his college or university.

"Congratulations to Keller and Reynolds on this award," said Paladin head coach Matt Davidson. "It really proves that they thrived in the classroom as well as in their sport this past year. At a university like Furman, that's what we are really looking for in our student-athletes. I'm so happy for them."

Harper, a business administration major from Atlanta, Ga., compiled a 3.24 cumulative grade point average during his time in Greenville. A PING East All-Region Team performer in 2020-21, Harper recently wrapped up an accomplished career for the Paladins that saw him be named SoCon Player of the Year three times while competing in two NCAA Men's Golf Regionals. He finished the 2020-21 season with a conference-best 70.7 stroke average, second-best for a season in program history, on the way to being named the SoCon Co-Player of the Year. A three-time All-SoCon selection, Harper's 72.0 career stroke average ranks second all-time at Furman behind Paladin Hall of Famer Brad Faxon.

Harper is a member of the SoCon Academic Honor Roll and Academic All-Conference Team.

Lambert, a business administration major from Mountain Brook, Ala., currently holds a 3.844 grade point average. He appeared in six events this past season for the Paladins, compiling one top-10 finish and a 74.1 stroke average. Lambert posted a 3-under par 207 at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate to finish in a tie for sixth place. His second round 65 tied with Harper for lowest on the team in 2020-21.

Lambert has received SoCon Academic Honor Roll, Academic All-Conference Team and Commissioner's Medal accolades.
