JONESBOROUGH, TENN. -- Furman seniors Ross Funderburke (-3) and Sam Lape (-3) and sophomore Will Morlan (-3) are tied for 16th after Monday's second round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, while is being hosted by East Tennessee State, at the par 72, 7,147 yard Blackthorn Club in Jonesborough, Tenn.

A native of Roanoke, Va., Funderburke paced the Paladins with a 67 after recording a flawless round with five birdies, including back to back birdies on No. 10 and No. 11, and 13 pars on Monday.  Lape,  a native of Atlanta, Ga., fired a 70 with an eagle on the par-5 No. 4 and five birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 14 and No. 15, while Morlan, who hails from Alpharetta, Ga., posted a team-high six birdies with birdies on three of four holes from No. 11 through No. 14 for a second-round 73. 

The Paladin trio is seven strokes back of leader Pierre Viallaneix (-10) of Florida Gulf Coast, who leads the field with scores of 68-66=134.

Senior Walker Crosby (+1) birdied his final two holes to finish with an even 72 on Monday and is tied for 40th, while junior Mac Scott (+6) is tied for 66th after carding a 75 with birdies on No. 6 and No 14 in round two.   

Senior Reynolds Lambert (+1), who is competing as an individual, shot a 2-under 70 to tie for 40th.  He eagled the par-5 No. 8 and added birdies on No. 14 and No. 17.

Georgia Southern (-18) has a narrow one-stroke margin after two rounds of play.  Host ETSU (-17) and Missouri (-17) are tied for second, while Cincinnati (-15) is in fourth place.  The Paladins (-8) are in fifth place entering Tuesday's final round. 

Furman leads the field with a 3.95 scoring average on the par 4s and is tied for third with 40 birdies.

The Paladins will tee off of No. 1 beginning at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in the final round of the 54-hole tournament and will play in a group with Cincinnati and Middle Tennessee State.  Admission is free and fans are welcome.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via http://www.FurmanPaladins.com and http://www.golfstat.com.
