DALLAS, TEXAS-- Furman sophomore Will Morlan (-9) carded his fifth-consecutive round in the 60s to tie for the individual lead after two rounds of play Monday at the Trinity Forest Invitational, which is being hosted by SMU at the par 72, 7372 yard Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas.

Morlan, who hails from Alpharetta, Ga. birdied his first two holes then added a third birdie on No. 9 to turn at 3-under.  After adding additional birdies on No. 10 and No. 15, he finished the round with a 4-under 68, tying for the lead with SMU's Nathan Petronzio (-9).  The duo leads the field by one stroke with one round left to play.

Senior Walker Crosby (-4) also fired a 68 on Monday and paced the Paladins with six birdies.  He enters Tuesday's final round in ninth place.  Senior Sam Lape (E) shot even par with three birdies in round two and is tied for 31st, while senior Ross Funderburke (+2) scored a 74 with birdies on No. 6 and No. 8 to tie for 42nd.  

Sophomore Trey Diehl (+5) is tied for 62nd entering the final round after tallying a 74 with a birdie on No. 1 in round two.  

Little Rock (-15) holds just a one-stroke lead over host SMU (-14) with 18 holes to play.  Baylor (-13) is in second place, while the Paladins (-11) are in fourth, just four strokes out of first.

Furman is tied for second with a 4.65 scoring average on the par 5s and is tied for fourth with a 4.05 scoring average on the par 4s.

The Paladins will tee off of No. 1 beginning at 9:20 a.m. CT/10:20 a.m. ET on Tuesday in the final round of the 54-hole tournament and will play in a group with Houston and SMU.  Admission is free and fans are welcome.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via http://www.FurmanPaladins.com and http://www.golfstat.com.
